Motherwear’s Fall 2007 Poem Contest
Submitted by Teresa Hitch
This tiny miracle in my arms
Snuggled against me soft and warm
Content to nurse most anywhere
Now made convenience by Motherwear.
Free from bottles and extra chores
No need for formula from the store
Natures milk gives what is best
And Motherwear keeps us dressed

Mother-child Incomparable Bond
Motherwear
Submitted by Karen Leiser
What’s best for him is what will guide me
All he needs – right here inside me
I glance around, but no one sees us
My Motherwear blouse shields and frees us
We bond; for him, there is no other
No one can doubt that I’m his Motherwear

“Are you breastfeeding?”
“Yes,” proudly answered.
What made you decide?
Heart starts dancing.
Did my research: pros/cons;
In my head repeated the reference “bond”.
Let baby go without those benefits?
Motherwear wardrobe would increase the enjoyment!
Strangers walk by, “Is she nursing?”
Only I see smiling cheeks milk’s caressing.

For nurture and care,
It’s Motherwear.
For fashion with flare,
It’s Motherwear.
For minimal bare,
It’s Motherwear.
Be here or there,
It’s Motherwear.
And for this little heir,
It’s Motherwear.
In all stages, glance through the pages,
For caring, sharing
and mother-wearing
No others can compare
To Motherwear

Hush, my darling
Mommy’s here
hold you near
calm your fear
My love I give
from my breast
drink and rest
of my best
Gently rhythm
soothes us both
draws us close
feeds our souls
Others see
our bond so rare
the love we share
with Motherwear

I give to you,
beautiful child,
strength—
Immunities numerous
Intelligence bountiful
Curiosity, Courage.
In cozy comforting rocking chair
or hard subway packed
with curious stares,
We still remain private,
our bond unbroken
Motherwear mothering –
uniting us as we
nurse your future.
I give you, child,
the peace given to me.

This is a choice of heart, to give baby a great head start.
The bonds you make from that first time, will never leave your heart or mind.
Motherwear’s clothes are the best, to allow that perfect closeness.
Thanks Motherwear!

What to Wear?
A mother wears a lullaby
half song, half whisper
as her baby nurses; the world is harmony
A mother wears a feather touch
Traced along an apple cheek
As her baby nurses; the world is tenderness
Motherwear, a mother wears love.
Creators Intent
by Michelle Burtner
Comes from a place
so close to the heart…
fluid of life,
the healthiest start.
sharing my love
through swelling breast,
a warm, plump cheek
pressed snug to my chest.
Content and nourished
by motherly fare –
accessibly by Motherwear.
Sustained maternally,
our creator’s intent,
milk-giving apparel…
money well spent.
