A. The Motherwear Affiliate Program is an online revenue-sharing program that gives partners the tools to sell all the breastfeeding clothes and products a mom will need. Motherwear takes care of ordering, payment, fulfillment, and customer service. There is no charge to join. Affiliates get a percentage of sales originating from their sites.
Q. How does the Motherwear Affiliate Program work?
A. Motherwear Affiliates actively promote Motherwear in exchange for commissions on sales originating from the affiliate's website.
Q. How much will my organization earn for each sale we refer to Motherwear?
A. You will receive 10 percent of each confirmed sale submitted by a site visitor originating from your website.
Q. How much will it cost to join?
A. The Motherwear Affiliate Program is free to join.
Q. How can my organization get started with the Motherwear Affiliate Program?
A. It's a simple two-step process:
- Fill out an application.
- Upon approval of your application, you will be notified via email about how to link to Motherwear and start earning money.
Q. How does Motherwear track sales and catalog requests coming from my website?
A. Motherwear has teamed up with Commission Junction, a leading affiliate solution provider. Commission Junction is a trusted third party that manages the network, tracks and reports on the ads in real time, and handles monthly commission payments to network members. Each of your links contains a unique tag identifying your site. When a visitor follows one of your links to Motherwear.com, the tag is stored in a tracking database. When that visitor makes a purchase on our site or submits a catalog request, the tag gets passed to the order database. Commission Junction tracks these purchases and calculates your commissions.
Q. How can I keep track of how many people visit Motherwear.com, make a purchase, or fill out a catalog request?
A. Once you become an approved Motherwear affiliate, you will be part of the Commission Junction network. Using your unique user name and password, you will be able to access a variety of real-time, online reports 24 hours per day.
Q. How often will my organization get paid?
A. You receive a monthly commission check each time your organization earns more than $25. If your earnings are less than $25, the amount will be carried over to the next month. Choose payment by check or direct deposit.
Q. May anyone become a member?
A. Any organization with a website may apply. However, Motherwear reserves the right to decline any application or affiliate at any time. Only live websites with appropriate content are eligible for the program. If your site is in development, please apply after it has launched. Websites that are most likely to do well as an affiliate are those that target the following audiences:
- Mothers and mothers-to-be
- Fathers and fathers-to-be
- Parents
- Family
- Gift givers to parents and parents-to-be
Sites targeting other audiences will be considered case by case. Motherwear does not affiliate with formula companies.
Q. May my site participate if it operates outside the United States?
A. Yes. Motherwear ships internationally and Commission Junction can pay you in your local currency. Motherwear's website is in English only.
Q. Where will I find Motherwear banners, buttons, and text links?
A. Once your site has been approved, you will receive a user name and password to log in to your account, where you will have immediate access to the various linking options. Motherwear also has several sample banners and buttons.
Q. How can I download graphics and logos from Motherwear to my Web site?
A. All the buttons, banners and text links are hosted on the Commission Junction server, and each includes the required code to link to Motherwear.com.
Q. How will my visitors place an order at Motherwear.com?
A. Your graphic and Motherwear banners and text links on your website will take your visitors right to motherwear.com, so that ordering is quick and easy.
Q. May I change or personalize the images and text provided by Motherwear?
A. No. Motherwear images and text are the intellectual property of Motherwear, and may not be modified.
Q. May an affiliate use the name Motherwear in its URL or in the name of its site?
A. No. The use of the Motherwear name or any variation in an affiliate's URL or in the name of an affiliate site is cause for dismissal from the affiliate program and forfeit of any earned commissions.
Q. What kind of promotions may we do?
A.
Be creative. Write a newsletter for your opt-in email list. Write a testimonial about Motherwear. Write an article, such as a product review.
You may use any copy provided through your Commission Junction Account, but if you wish to write your own copy, you must first send it to Motherwear at affiliates@motherwear.com
for approval prior to posting it on your website. For fastest turn-around, please include "Affiliate Copy for Approval" in your email subject line.
Q. What kinds of promotions are prohibited?
A. You cannot send unsolicited email (spam). Affiliates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program.
Q. May I do a news release or other announcement regarding my affiliation with Motherwear?
A. No. Motherwear will issue any announcements to the media.
Q. May I bid Motherwear as a keyword in search engines?
A. No. We require that no affiliates bid on the keyword Motherwear, as it is our copyrighted name. We also ask that our affiliates not over-bid Motherwear on the relevant keywords in all of the search engines.
