1. Secure Online Shopping with Motherwear
Motherwear protects your online order information by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Your order is encrypted by SSL to prevent the decoding of the order and credit card information by anyone other than Motherwear. Additionally, we perform a daily check by an outside security audit firm to verify continual stability and protection for our customers.

2. Personal Information We Collect
Motherwear collects certain personal information when you contact us to request our catalog, subscribe to our email list, or to place an order. Below you’ll find the minimum required information for each scenario described:

To place a telephone order with Motherwear, we require your name, mailing address and telephone number. (Should you choose to pay for your order with a credit card, we would also require your credit card information)

To place an online order with Motherwear, we require your name, mailing address, telephone number, credit card information and email address

To be added to our email list, we require your name and email address

To be added to our catalog mailing list, we require your name and mailing address

There may be additional information we request from you for internal reporting and to better serve you (e.g. your baby’s due / birth date, how you heard about us etc.) It is your choice whether or not to provide that additional information.

Our server recognizes the home server of everyone who connects to our website. We do not collect your individual email address unless you send us a message, or you provide your email address to us when you call us or place your order. Our server tracks data about how you use our site: what pages you view, in what order you view them, and how you come to our site. We review this data in aggregate form to help us understand the needs of the people who visit our website.

If you answer an online Motherwear survey or enter a contest and provide data about yourself, we keep your individual responses confidential. Survey data is reviewed in aggregate form only.

3. Updating Your Personal Information
You may, at any time, contact us via telephone, email or letter to update, modify, correct or remove your personal information from our database. Our contact information can be found at the bottom of this web page.

4. Our Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected by Motherwear may be used internally by Motherwear for the purposes of catalog request fulfillment, order placement, database management, promotional offerings, product development / improvement, statistical analysis, marketing research and customer feedback.

5. Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties
Motherwear works with outside service providers that are essential to our business (such as banks, credit card processing, order shipping, catalog requests, seasonal catalog mailings, email distribution and statistical research). These firms are provided with only the information they need in order to perform their respective tasks. They are contractually prohibited from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than Motherwear.

We do occasionally share customers’ postal mailing address lists with carefully screened companies whose products may be of interest to you (this information can include name, mailing address and purchase preferences & history).

We do sometimes share customer information (in aggregate form only) to marketing consultants who assist us with catalog mailings, strategic direction & analysis.

Under no circumstances does Motherwear rent, sell, or otherwise distribute email addresses or telephone numbers that we collect.

6. Your Opt-Out Rights
If you have not already done so, you may, at any time, instruct Motherwear not to share your personal information with other companies for their own marketing / solicitation purposes. (Our contact information can be found at the bottom of this web page). There are several ways you can advise us of your preference:

Check the box above the “Ship to” address on our catalog order form and return it to us via mail or fax
Check the box on the check-out page when placing an online order on our website
Check the box on the information page when placing an online request for a Motherwear catalog on our website
Advise us when calling our automated request line (800-633-0303) to request a Motherwear catalog
Advise us by speaking with a Customer Service Representative at (800) 950-2500. Representatives are available to assist you Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

We honor these requests immediately. Please understand however, that your request may take several weeks to become effective, as mailings are planned in advance. You can also send a postcard to The Direct Marketing Association’s Mail Preferences Service to be removed by all mailers who use the service. The address is: MPS DMA, P.O. 7. Discontinuing Motherwear Catalogs & Emails
If you prefer not to receive catalogs, promotional emails or other communications from Motherwear, please contact us at the mailing address shown below or send us an email message at customerservice@motherwear.com. To discontinue Motherwear promotional emails, you may also simply “unsubscribe” using the link provided at the bottom of each email.

8. Collection of Personal Information from Children
Motherwear does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 for the purposes of order placement or statistical analysis.

9. Motherwear’s Right to Contact Customers
Motherwear retains the right to contact customers concerning order status, account questions or any other internal issues relevant to our customers.
